Sindre Fossum

As a Patent Attorney, Sindre provides advice to clients in many different matters related to patents, including drafting and prosecution, oppositions, novelty searches and freedom-to-operate investigations. He has extensive experience in helping start-ups and early phase companies safeguard their rights, as well as providing IP consultancy to established companies. With hands-on experience from product development and production, Sindre has a keen eye for identifying a client’s needs.

Sindre graduated in 2005 with a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Engineering Design and Materials, with exchange studies at University of Technology, Sydney. His first employment was at Eker Design, where he worked on developing sports cars and leisure boats. He then moved on to developing aluminium wheels for Swedish and German automakers at Fundo Wheels. After working as a structural engineer at EDR Medeso for a few years, Sindre joined the IP business when he started at Zacco Norway in 2012. Sindre has since been working with immaterial property rights, and patent consultancy in general.

Sindre joined AWA in 2021.
