AWA Norway bolsters services through Advokatfirmaet AWA and EUIPO registration
In August, leading intellectual property firm AWA announced its expansion in Scandinavia and Europe with the launch of an office in Oslo, Norway.
AWA Norway has since bolstered its service offering through the official incorporation of Advokatfirmaet AWA and admission to the Norwegian Bar Association.
This means that in addition to patent, trademark, design, copyright and company services provided under AWA Norway, we can now offer clients full commercial legal services including litigation and handling of commercial contract law under Advokatfirmaet AWA.
In addition, AWA Norway has also expanded its service scope even further by registering with the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
This permits AWA Norway to directly file and prosecute European Trademarks (EUTMs) and Registered Community Designs (RCD) before the EUIPO as well as any accompanying oppositions, invalidations and appeals.
Establishing an on-the-ground presence and expanding our service offering better assists our growing client base and places AWA in the best position to support international and local clients with national intellectual property rights, as Norway is not an EU Member State.
