AWA Asia and Ai-Leen Lim recognised by Chambers and Partners
We are pleased to announce that AWA Asia has been recommended by the distinguished legal publication Chambers and Partners in the 2020 edition of the Asia-Pacific Guide.
Chambers and Partners comments: “Noted practice that has increasing visibility in the market. Growing team that offers advice in Hong Kong and Beijing to international clients from the life sciences, automotive, retail and technology sectors among others. Focuses on IP portfolios, including trade marks, designs and patents. Also able to advise on domain name and design protection mandates.”
Chambers continues: “‘The AWA team was exceptional in handling complicated Hong Kong and PRC trade mark filings,’ reports one source, adding: ‘They are our preferred trade mark counsel, as we can rely on them without worry.’ Another referee describes it as an ‘excellent firm’ with ‘very knowledgeable lawyers.’”
In addition to the firm ranking, AWA Asia CEO and Principal Counsel Ai-Leen Lim received a Band 2 individual ranking. Chambers and Partners noted: “According to market sources, Ai-Leen Lim is ‘definitely a well-respected practitioner’ who ‘knows her stuff’ in the field of intellectual property. She assists clients with the management of their IP portfolios and frequently handles trade mark and patent filings, as well as advising on litigation strategy.”
