Emmanuel works extensively with start-ups as well as small and medium-sized enterprises assisting them to define and implement intellectual property strategies. For over a decade, he has partnered with Innosuisse Start-Up which provides coaching to young corporations from industry experts.

In addition to his global prosecution work, Emmanuel provides litigation support where technical expertise is required during complex patent cases. He also worked at the Swiss Federal Patent Court for six years as a Technical Judge and has a deep understanding of the procedure and practice of the Court.

Before entering private practice, Emmanuel gained extensive professional experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare companies as a patent attorney in charge of the patent departments with the Debio Group, Lausanne and Bracco SA, Geneva.

Emmanuel holds two master’s degrees in plant Physiology and Biochemistry as well as a specialised post graduate diploma in pharmacotoxicology. He has also completed the CEIPI full course and the CEIPI Diploma in Patent Litigation.
